I've finally made it to my 30's!!! My 20's were absolute shit, with very few bright spots: meeting and marrying BigUnit/Evil Monkey/My Dorky Geek is the one that stands out the most.
I had a baby in November 2008, and it changed my life in ways I didn't think it would. I went from a career-oriented, ladder climbing, ambitious, nurse manager to a... a... mommy. A very strange transition, and I honestly didn't see it coming. I quit my powerful job, and got three per diem grunt nurse jobs so that I could work less and not have to take work home with me.
I have three furbabies/kitties. We call them Olive!, Chunka (Chunka Monka), and Yo (Yodalittle, Little Yo, Special Little Guy, or Little One) and the human spawn is named Morgan, kind of after Morgan (Morgaine) LeFay, King Arthur's evil sister. The poor child is screwed, because her parents are huge geeks who have very strange ideas on child rearing.
